Suspend Cong MLA Ramesh Kumar

 Congress MLA Ramesh Kumar had passed a disturbing and sick statement- 'if rapes are inevitable, lie down and enjoy'. How low can a person even get?

Reducing rape to something like it is no big deal. There is really no words for it.

These kind of politicians are the one who are criminals, support rapists and reason for rape culture in India. How people even happen to elect such people.

I know it is an exaggeration, but if he ever had a daughter of his own, he wouldn't mind to even rape his own daughter. That's how sick and disturbing his statement is.

Does he even know the mental trauma a victim/survivor can go through after any degree of sexual assault, other than the physical harm caused. Experiencing (or even witnessing) a traumatic event can lead to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which often lasts years or lifetime. Ministers like this should never be brought into power. They think than an (often meaningless) apology will solve everything. He needs to be suspended immediately and never allowed in any other profession, job or allowed to establish own business. We do not need such people in this world. Monsters like this is reason women don't feel safe in India anymore, would prefer to shift abroad to relatively safer country (if any good opportunity comes) and has preferred to stay apolitical, me included.

They wouldn't mind to silence, rape or kill people who say or go against them. That's all their work is. We do not need such monsters around us with such sick mentality.

We read the encyclopedias at either our homes or the society terrace. Encyclopedias on various subjects brought us together- we would read and discuss various facts and information. How can 70hrs work week affect several aspects of life?

Undoubtedly, this las led to debate among the citizens who favours the statement and also contending against it. Hustle culture is already on rise and this adds fuel to the fire, glorifying burn-out. Viewing this statement in respect to working professionally for a company, especially a job, has a lot of side effects. New lifestyle in urban areas and top-tier cities has already disposed younger population to various health concerns, and working for so long would only accelerate the possibilities of it. Image Source - Vox Cancel culture, a term thats getting quite frequently implemented upon this days.  Be it a new book or authors, blogs, movie/series or part of it, stand-up comedy or anything form of art or expression, cancel culture always comes to show its ugly face to boycott or censor something. Even if the art or content piece is not offensive or spreading any kind of hate in any way, people get offended at slightest of things and ask for boycotts. This makes me wonder- if this continues, will this bring a end to creative careers?
