Best kind of freedom you can gift to yourself

Apart from the six fundamental freedom given to us by the Indian law (or any other country you live in), which does give us various freedoms and rights to execute our life the way we wish to, but many of it comes to halt by a single thing- log kya kahenge. Or if you do not care, then the desi parents will hold you back as they are scared of chaar logon ki baat.

The best kind of freedom we can gift to ourselves is freedom from the opinions and judgements of others. No matter how good you are, you will always be a villian in someone else's life. You will be trolled, mocked, judged and would be the target of others pulling you down.

Applies to men as well

Freedom from the weight of judgements and opinions is the best weight loss you can give to your mind. Be it them judging your thoughts, mentality (as long as you are not narrow-minded) or your visual appearance, you can never satisfy everybody. Society just wants you to be someone you are not.

The journey from caring about people's judgement to not caring a bit about their opinions has been difficult, but just worth it. From caring about their judgements and mocking about my hoarse voice which isn't usual for girls, stammering and visual appearance to not giving a damn about their opinion. It takes off a lot of mental load. Sandeep Maheshwari, novels and other motivational speakers have helped me through this journey. And thanks to my best friend who gave a extremely socially isolated girl who would rather just nod and shake her head, the confidence to speak up and talk, regardless of people's judgements. His words which eased a lot of my insecurity about hoarse voice and  stammering, though I do not exactly remember it, has helped me a lot - "People who WANTS to understand you, will try to understand you. And those you doesn't care, you need not care about their about their opinions either". Thanks a lot dude! Though I am still bit insecure, but its a journey and I am proud of how long I have came ahead from being the isolated girl in some corner of the room.

We need people who understands us. Our feelings, our thoughts, our actions and us. If you have such people, keep them close. And those who try to pull you down or judge you, keep them away. Or cut them off totally from your life. Or if can't keep them away physically, learn to let go of their opinions.

Insecurities will always be there. Acknowledge them. But do not let your insecurities get better of you. And do not let other's judgements about your limitations affect you.

This journey would never be easy. Its tiring, exhausting, you might think of giving up but keep going on. Its just worth the loss of unnecessary mental load. Keep going! All the best!
