Uncomfortable & impractical women's clothes? Head to men's clothing section

Since 9th standard (or maybe even before), I have been a lot into tomboyish clothes. Thanks to my bestfriend who introduced me to word tomboy (though I have been that since 5th standard or so), I researched about it like its a thesis, and got introduced to comfortable (and practical) clothing. And since then, there have been no going back.

My comfort's rivalry with 'girly' or Indian traditional woman clothes date back since I have been a small child. The pricky and itchiness that comes with it, god, it is uncomfortable (for me, might be comfortable for others)! Tees, shirts and denims became my all time savior and comforter. Shorts were once, but the typical stare, laziness to shave my legs, and Indian mother's "thik se baitha kar", "aur chhote shorts nahi mile?" and "Log kya kahenge?"  made me have to limit me wearing shorts in public to football shorts only.

Expensive & suffocative bras, tops where you won't be able to move your hands freely, the 'among us' game with family (they treating you as imposter) while you wear ripped denims, ultra small pockets, skinny denims which will take hour hour to fit with juggles and wiggles and....well the list goes on.

Also, thanks to corona virus lockdown, homo sapiens have lost the habit of wearing denim jeans as well. Psychopaths definition has changed to people wearing denims within home in the lockdown (this psychopaths definition credit to modern.dictionary on IG). Pajamas/pyjamas has been officially all time comfort cloth of lockdown. Let's not forget the pocket struggle. Either the pockets play pee-kaa-boo with us or so small that it will not even fit a small phone. I came across this meme which is very relatable if you are a woman.

Now that we have got accustomed to pajamas, we have realised how liberating it feels in comfortable and practical clothes. Possibly even more liberating than sneaking out of strict parents and meeting boyfriend(s).

Here's what I have been doing from years, which my mother is embarressed about😂. I go into men's section for plain denims with 4 big pockets, enough to hold my phone, keys, wallet and probably even a chocolate for my sweet tooth. If you like wearing t-shirts, purchase over-sized (or regular if you wish) Boyfriend t-shirts from Bewakoof (not sponsored by them). They are comfortable and practical and would give you enough air to breathe. Though how you gonna explain your suspicious parents if they read the tag of 'Boyfriend T-shirt' is up to you🤭.

P.S.: This is another blogpost on similar topic- Ditching the beauty standards where I have discussed many other beauty standard things along with cloth trends. Do give it a read and comment your opinions.
