True meaning of feminism

Feminism.

People have created their own notion and opinions about feminism, suiting their perspectives and their interests. This has made feminism lose its actual meaning. People have started misusing feminism according to their wants. This is the reason people have started hating feminism now a days. And why it has turned into something like an abusive or shaming word now.

What's feminism in true sense? It is equal opportunities, equal independence to take decisions and choices (as long as they are legal and morally right and doesn't harm anyone), and equal fundamental rights. It is respecting those decisions of others.

Feminism is equal independence, equal rights to all the genders, equally with what is given to men. Feminism is not above or below men, but equal to it.

Feminism DOESN'T promote misandry or misogyny of any kind, nor even any phobia related to LGBTQ+ community. If you see some so called feminist spreading such hatred against any gender or people with other sexual preferences, they are not real feminist. Real feminists will never spread any hatred towards people of any gender or people with any sexual preferences. If you see any woman (or even men) spreading any hate towards a particular gender or heterosexual or LGBTQ+ people, she (or he) isn't a true feminist. That's what we call psuedo-feminism, which is just as harmful as patriarchy. You can hate pesudo feminism, I myself do.

A true feminist will NEVER put fake accusations on anyone, will not ridicule anyone based on their choices, opinions and decisions (as long as they are legal, morally right and doesn't harm anyone), never body shame or slut-shame anyone, will never discriminate on basis of gender or sexual preferences, etc.

With people's changed notions of feminism according to their wants, its really hard now a days to identify a true feminist. I know that. Also many social media handles on the name of feminism, with huge following, have been spreading wrong messages on name of feminism. This creates a wrong notion, spreads a wrong message. If you wanna follow true feminist related profiles,  follow FeministKool Kanya (a women only community), Raina Raonta, and writer_sahab. Maybe even Tweak (for Indian women). These are some truly feminist profiles you can follow on Instagram. There may be more, but these are authentic ones.

Feminism never was about bashing men but patriarchy. In past few decades, feminism has also stood up for men- for men being able to take choices against set gender roles, for men to be able to express their emotions freely without judgements, and against any form of false accusations.

Please know what feminism truly stands for and practice it, before you go commenting like 'women☕'. It is a win-win situation for all. Respect feminism, and choices and decisions of people (as long as its legal and morally right) and do not force anyone.
