Things you'll relate to if you are a tomboy

Let me introduce what is tomboy called (for those who don't know the meaning of tomboy)- girl who is more into traditional male activities like sports, camping, etc. Tomboys usually prefer wearing jeans and sneakers. A tomboy is a girl who exhibits characteristics or behaviors considered typical of the gender role of a boy, including wearing masculine clothing and engaging in games and activities that are physical in nature, and which are considered in many cultures to be the domain of boys. In short, its a girl who enjoys rough, noisy activities traditionally associated with boys.

Being a tomboy myself, I've had these experiences and feelings. If you are also a tomboy, just like me, you can relate to these things too.

1. Boy's clothing is more comfortable- Being a tomboy, I feel boy's clothing is much more comfortable and more functional than girl's clothing. T-shirts, casual shirts and boys' denim are much more comfortable than girly dresses๐Ÿ˜„. T-shirts and fit enough denim (not too tight, not too lose either) are breathable and comfortable for me. Also in girl's denim, there are pockets or maybe even no pockets (girl's clothing industry has been fooling the women with pockets) ๐Ÿ˜. No doubt that I have shifted to men's clothing section๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜.

2. Wearing girly dresses are damn uncomfortable- Be it western modern girly clothes or traditional women's wear, we may not feel comfortable, or very much less comfortable. Some times girly dresses feel too tight, or itchy, or anything uncomfortable. If I'm forced to wear a girly dress (I never wear girly dresses myself). I just wait when I would be able to get out of it and change it into my casual tomboy clothing. But if you yourself choose to wear girly or ethnic wear, you will rock yourself in it too.

3. You know nothing about make-up- Make-ups have been a nightmare for me. I hate applying make-up. For tomboys, make-up would be even just applying lipstick (which I would take off just after seconds my mother forcefully made me apply it๐Ÿ˜‚). You would mostly prefer your sweaty natural skin over make-up look. No issues about other wearing make-up, you don't wanna yourself apply make-up. Also, make-up is a waste of money for you, which you would use it for other things. You get awkward and uncomfortable when other people around you talk about make-up, make-up products, etc. You love your natural look and feel most comfortable in it. You take very little time to get ready and don't have to put hours into getting ready.

4. Sports over barbie dolls- You prefer playing outdoor and even indoor sports over barbie dolls, kitchen/ doctor sets or any girly games. Also, you prefer boyish activities like trekking, adventures, etc over girly activities. You have very much love for sports and outdoor activities and girly activities bore you.

5. More guy friends- You have bit/ some more guy friends than female friends as your behavior is more like boys, so you go along well with boys.

6. May prefer short hairs- You 'may' prefer short hairs like boy cut or pixie cut over the long hairs as short hairs are of less maintenance and suit your tomboy personality.

Well, most importantly, being tomboy does not necessarily make you a LESBIAN!! I have heard about a few people confusing girl being tomboy or having short hairs with her being a lesbian. Its a really wrong stereotype. Someone's sexual preference (being hetero or from LGB community) is determined on birth. Do not confuse being a tomboy with being a lesbian. Being tomboys is choice girls make, but the sexual preference is actually determined at birth.
