Things you can do during the quarantine
The quarantine has proved out to be boring for many people out there. We are confused about what to do. The coronavirus has proved to be anxious and stressful for people, especially after seeing the stats of the number of people getting infected with it and losing their lives to this virus. To reduce your anxiety, stress or boredom, you can do the following things.
1. Avoid watching the news all the time- News can be really stressful after seeing the number of people getting affected and losing their lives due to it. It is corona all the time. It can cause negativity and put people into more anxiety than they already are. You can watch the news of the number of infected and deaths due to virus over the phone with a quick read for a few mins in a day and then avoid watching any other news. If even the news numbers of people getting infected and losing their lives to virus put you into a panic state, I would suggest avoid watching corona news completely.
2. Communicate with positive people- Though you can not go out of your home, you can communicate with people through video/ audio call, or chat. You better converse more with positive people, be it your family (won't have to go out of home either), friend, or any other person, who can fill you with positivity rather than filling you with negativity and putting you into more panic state. If you are going through any mental health issues or panic, you can consult psychotherapists over the phone too. Make sure you do not put others in a panic state either and try to be a positive person too😉. Most importantly, avoid speaking about the coronavirus.
3. Spend time with your loved ones- You can spend time with your loved ones- family, friends and maybe even girlfriend/ boyfriend. This quarantine time will bring you more closer with your close and loved ones.
4. Take up a hobby or course - You can take up any hobby, art or online course (Udemy or Skillshare are online course websites) to pass your time and include or improve skills. It will keep you entertained, stressfree, away from boredom and also help in developing your overall personality.
5. Read literature books- You can read literature books of whichever genre (if you are just starting to read books, mystery or comics are good genres to start with) and whichever language you want. It will surely entertain you and also increase your knowledge. If you never got time to read books, time is now!
6. Watch and listen to entertainment arts- You can watch movies, youtube, series, or stand-up comedy or any kind of entertainment arts. You can listen to music too to keep yourself entertained.
7. Play indoor games- You can play indoor games like various types of board games and card games to have fun.
8. Do home work-out- What if you can't go outside for sports or gym? You can do exercise at home with a home workout, which would be well enough to keep you fit. Doing work-out will also make your mood better.
All these things will help you keep your boredom and stress apart and keep you entertained while days would pass by. I hope your quarantine days go with fun and entertainment.
